He is Infinite

November 7, 2016 Rebecca Eschenroeder

As I sit on the top of the mountain, my physical body is high above the clouds, but my heart sinks to the depths of the black ocean. I know it is an inevitable part of life, but my little girl brain knows he will live forever…

Seeds

October 10, 2016 Rebecca Eschenroeder

I truly believe that everyone comes into your life for a reason. Call it cliché, but I do believe. Even when we don’t understand the behavior, thoughts, or actions of another, if we open our eyes (and our hearts) and look past the very top layer; there is always something to learn.

Wings

August 31, 2016 Rebecca Eschenroeder

In the beginning: soft and fragile; protected and watched over by others having been through it all…so far; floating freely with no direction with the only option to trust. Not even aware of these wings...yet.

Knowing

July 13, 2016 Rebecca Eschenroeder

Something deep within me knows. Knows where I have been and where I am going. It is not a knowing in my mind. It is a knowing deeply rooted in the depths of my soul. It is the animal of my body; constantly in touch with my instincts no matter how distracting the stories become.

Unexpected Turbulance

June 20, 2016 Rebecca Eschenroeder

"Unexpected turbulence." Is there such thing as expected turbulence? Even when the captain announces that it is coming, we don't know exactly when. This of course, rings true in daily life as well (as turbulence unfortunately is not just reserved for airplanes).  It is a constant reminder that there is only so much to control and that there can actually be some relief in surrendering to that. Actually, if you change your perspective and see it as an adventure, it can turn out to be fun.

My kids at Brook Road Academy have been some of the most inspiring and impactfull of all....
3 years certainly flew by as I had the honor and opportunity to share practice with a group of high schoolers every Friday at 2 p.m. Never have I experienced such a school that encompassed so beautifully the energy of a family.

How Freedom Yoga Got It's Name

May 17, 2016 Rebecca Eschenroeder

"One statement that I often make at the end of my yoga classes is, 'Thank you for allowing me to teach and for teaching me so much in return.'  Never have I learned so much as I have in my experience with teaching Freedom Yoga.

How Does Your Garden Grow: YoKid Facilitation

April 17, 2016 Rebecca Eschenroeder

In 2012 I was asked to take a 20 hour kids yoga teacher training and then, shortly after, I was asked to be a facilitator of that training. I had no idea how my life was about to change.

Arriving

March 23, 2016 Rebecca Eschenroeder

There are times in life during which we have no other choice other than to rely on trusting ourselves. Depending on our relationship with out innermost self. This can be a terrifying experience of quite a delicious one.

The Blue, The Yellow, and the Orange: Flying to San Francisco

February 24, 2016 Rebecca Eschenroeder

I look out the window and there they are again... Those colors that bid me farewell last time I left. They have returned, once again, to welcome me back.

Coming Home to Me

January 22, 2016 Rebecca Eschenroeder

"Inside there is a more natural rhythm where there is time to pause, breathe, feel, and perceive clearly, we find that the most valuable thing we can ever possess is clearly within our sites: THIS IS LIFE ITSELF.  We may notice that while life has been living itself through us, we have been absent from the experience. Where did we go, and how can we come home to the larger life that is possible for us?"

- Donna Farhi

"May your practice bring you home."
