Embrace Your Story:
Join us at the breathtaking Villa Terlingua nestled in the Chihuahuan Desert of Southwest Texas from November 9-15, 2020.
Located between Big Bend National Park and the Rio Grande Wild & Scenic River, you will awaken your inner healer and discover your deep well of self love during this transformational retreat.
We are going deep and cultivating a once in a lifetime experience that allows you to listen within, find your voice, and speak your truth.
What to expect:
We will create an intimate container for us to practice the act of lovingly accepting yourself just as you are. This retreat will be a space for you to connect with your mind and body, to connect with nature, and a supportive community that is mutually invested in growth, holistic wellness, and joyful living.
Our bodies will be nourished through mindful meals created by a personal chef, hands on cooking demonstrations, and through daily yoga and meditation offerings. We will nourish our souls through both cultivated experiences of stillness and play, surrounded by the breathtaking beauty of the desert wilderness.
Highlights
Daily Yoga & Guided Meditation
Yoga is a daily opportunity at the retreat where you will practice with certified yoga practitioners Tara & Nathalie. Don’t worry if you haven’t done yoga before! Ours will accommodate all levels and is aimed at taking joy in your body while you connect to your breath and heart.
Self Love Curriculum
Awaken your inner healer and discover your deep well of self love. You will be guided by Christopher Baker, former Olympic coach for USA Triathlon, and traumatic brain injury survivor. On his path to healing and through his work with professional athletes, Chris has been teaching and practicing this work for almost 20 years. Each day we will dive into the self love curriculum which will guide you through:
Learning the tools for mastering your negative self-talk.
Shifting from your inner critic to your inner best friend
Re-defining your relationship with your most important asset; you!
How to tune into your heart and intuition for guidance.
Bringing self-love into your life, career and relationships.
To compliment the Self Love workshops Tara & Nathalie will offer Yoga, meditation, creative art projects, communication exercises, playfulness and plenty of down time so retreat participants are able to integrate the curriculum during the retreat.
Rejuvenate in Nature
Imagine waking each morning to the most beautiful sunrise you can imagine, and falling asleep under a blanket of stars. This is your opportunity to engage with nature in one of the most beautiful locations in the country. It is hard to describe how truly spirit-filled this area is, it must be experienced first hand. As a part of this retreat you will experience hiking in the unforgettable Big Bend National Park, enjoy a sunset horseback ride and canoe on the Rio Grande Wild & Scenic River.
Nourishing Meals & Cooking Demo
We can’t wait to take care and nurture you with amazing food! Our personal chef will prepare beautiful dishes that accommodate all dietary needs. But even better, it will delight your senses. We will have a hands-on cooking demonstration that will give you new, wholesome meals to share with others.

NATHALIE CLAES
Nathalie is a deep breather, movement maker (E-RYT 200), and an advocate for living life off the beaten path. Deeply inspired by the natural world, she found her yoga roots on a remote corner of Lantau Island, Hong Kong - and has since been on a journey to guide others back to their heart centered nature, through nature. Nathalie completed her RYT-200, Registered Yoga Teacher training in 2015 and founded her brand Inner Wild Yoga shortly afterwards.

CHRISTOPHER BAKER
In 2013, Chris was involved in a hit and run accident that left him with a traumatic brain injury. Overnight, the life he knew disappeared. As the days turned to weeks and weeks to months, the severity of what Chris was dealing with began to take shape: significant long-term memory loss, sensory and cognitive overload, PTSD, extreme anxiety, depression, fatigue and chronic pain.
In the months after his accident Chris turned to photography as a form of art therapy. This along with extended periods of time in nature helped Chris accept the loss of who he used to be and embrace the person he is today.
In 2019 Chris and his partner Nathalie founded a non-profit dedicated to sharing the healing powers of nature and promoting conservation through visual storytelling. Read more about their first expedition to protect America’s Wild Places.
