The Path

February 22, 2022 Rebecca Eschenroeder

Gently placed with mindful intent; fitting and flowing onward with perfect imperfection.

Stones become soft; held and received by Earth with love and with care.

Shining and sparkling in the Appalachian sun; every particle that has fused together to create footprints to new pathways unapologetically makes itself known without hesitation and without question.

They whisper as they echo and twinkle in the light of the moon; mirroring the infinite number of stars.

Stones become light; casting away the heavy that has served as only compost for newfound strength.

Where this path will lead is unknown…

We open…we feel…we trust…one step at a time.

Stones become soft.

Stones become light.

And we are carried forward on their unexpected wings.
